GM stage kits or 3rd party kits?

I think piggy backs are bad enough as it is but the intense kit ain't even really that.
Let me re-phrase this. What if I got my own injectors and smaller pulley. Went to GM and had someone I know there reflash for me. As far as warranty issue goes I'm not worried about it
1. because my dealer turns a blind eye when it comes to aftermarket parts. 2. most of the people that work there (parts, service, and sales) are my friends and I have known them for YEARS. 3. Never really had a car long enough anyway.
Just saying that if the GM stage 2 kit is nothing more then a reflash, injectors and pulley why not just buy that stuff myself get a smaller 2.8 pulley and just hit the stage 2 reflash. It would be a LOT cheaper than $750 which GM is charging for the same thing.
I know, I'd lose my warranty, but like I said that isn't a concern of mine, so for someone would this be a better option then going GM?

Thx Dark. Seems like i have been trying to ask this question for days and havent been able to get it across right. =)
Talking to my buddy now (service tech at GM) and he is seeing if he can get the reflash in his computer and we will install some injectors and smaller pulley and maybe even an exhaust soon. His uncle also owns a shop with a dyno so we will also be able to hit it up with a nice tune after.

If any 1 from INTENSE is looking at this thread, I was going with u guys 100%..... until about 15 min ago. And now after pretty much reading this whole thread, and the few others, even tho i had no intention of EVER GOING WITH THE GM KITS
.... i'm sorry to say, u guys lost a potential customer. GM stg 2 is the winner as far as I'm concerned. BTW I could give a flyin fu*k about the warrentee if its gunna give me a higher red line, (I'll be getting valve springs this summer) it just seemd logical. OR until sum 1 makes a Twin Charge kit for htis puppy!
