I just had this new Stage Kit reflash done. What a difference. She is fun to drive again!

1st to 2nd shifts smooth now. It feels like the car has enough fuel to stay smooth.
Before it almost felt like it fell flat or didn't have enough fuel on 1st to 2nd shifts.

The mid and top end power is smoother. The car just feels like it knows what's going on now.

If you have Stage 2 problems with hesitation , an intake on the car and it is only doing this while it is cold outside. SWITCH THE SPARK PLUGS BACK TO STOCK......This took all the hesitation and shifting problems out of the car. Just try it you'll be suprised.

I've had no performance issues out of my car but I've still been getting the P0171 lean code on several occasions since the stage 2 reflash. I checked that GM site for my up to date calibrations and I have the new numbers even though I got stage 2 in april...wtf?

i dont think its possible to have the new numbers since april since the new part number has only just recently been added. Maybe the gm site is saying what should be on the car now instead ... I would have it checked out though maybe the online site is having a database issue

Bringing this thread back to life. Is there a newer Stage 2 tune out? What is the part number for the proper tune?

who is telling you these things?

I have PERSONALLY taken that number to my dealership. which they used to put this new reflash in my car. which helped ALOT of problems with how my car was running.

If you take those numbers to your dealership. they should be able to give you the newest reflash. or tell you you already have it.

OR.....maybe they are retards.

It's the dealers mistake man! You don't have to dig up info for them. Call the GM hotline and tell them about it, they will get it straightened out for you.

So i have GM stage 1 and getting stage 2 put in on monday...i thought maybe i could help out here.

Below are my numbers for my VIN for my comp calibration....I have an 05, and i matched the numbers with the nembers in green from the very first post. Looks like i have the right software installed and GM did a proper install for my stage 1..Let's see if this changes when i get stage 2 installed.

Not sure if that will help anyone...m/b find out if there is even newer software. whatever.

any car upgraded after the date this stuff was posted should already have the latest codes. You can still give the codes to the dealer and tell them to see if there is a version for the 07 but from what the master tech told me all new installs would use the newer version if the dealer known wtf they are doing.

the codes were only updated for the cobalts as far as I know since the redlines appeared to be operating correctly during the time this became available. You may still wanna check and possibly have yours updated as current as possible.

The issue is extremely noticable. Some notice lag before the real issue occurs but yeah it is pretty violent if you have experienced the issue.
