Have all of the plans for any GMPP induction parts been scrapped?

I know they were going to have a high flow air box and supposedly that went south and then I heard they were going to offer a high flow filter.

Any news on the filter?

 

my guy said the intakes were coming out in spring, they have not been scrapped

 

If my dealer can't fix this CEL problem with my K&N intake, or if Stage 1 doesn't fix it, I will be forced to buy the GM intake..

 

I've been holding off buying a K&N CAI for two reasons... First the dreaded CEL (which I know I will get, I have an '05) and second, don't ask me why but, my preference is to use OEM parts whenever I can (I'm considering GMPP to be OEM).

I really hope that GMPP comes out with a CAI and I hope that it makes the S/C scream as loud as the K&N seems to.

 

Why does the K & N intake kit throw a CEL? Sorry guys I just got my car so I don't know.

It is a mix of MAF location/ECM sensitivity.

As for my original question I really hope that Donaldson will step up and make a high flow filter/airbox for the Cobalt SS like they did for the F-Bodies.

The O.E. Donaldson filter for F-Bodies was a high flow paper element and it out filtered and out flowed a K&N style filter. They also used to make a re-useable filter with a synthetic media too.

 

you should deffinatly do a search. you can totally learn all kinds of good info from this forum. It' pretty much comes down too the tolerances the brain will allow. they are way too tight for modding
