GMPP For cobalt Question
2.0 Balt here, stage 2 here. Hey, So I'm looking to buy as much Stuff as possible for my Balt. What does GM make as far as adding power to the vehicle (Non GM aftermarket parts I don't care about). (Also if i get exhaust, manifold will I need a retune from the Stage 2 tune) ( SERIOUS POSTS ONLY ) THANKS in advance
ps-I saw 10.5:1 pistons for the balt which made me ask this question (Off of GM parts direct) I had no idea that GM even made racing pistons. I know they make manifolds and exhaust but what else.

The pistons I believe are made by someone else and sold through GM.
For the 2.0 they have the manifold and exhaust, plus stage kits. Be careful, they list an intake but it only fits 2.2 and 2.4 models.

just outa curiosity, why are you only looking for gmpp parts??? gmpp does have some decent stuff, but there is better out there. if its for warrenty purpose, there are a lot of things you can do and gm cannot void your warrenty unless they can prove that the part caused the failure in question.
aside from the stage 2 kit, about all gm makes is the cat back exausts, manifold, and stage 3 (not warrenty friendly). and by doing an exaust, you wont need a tune, although people have preorted 10-15hp gains from a good tune when compared to the stage 2 tune. keep in mind, if you have aftermarket tuning, your warrenty on the powertrain is instantly void.

Don't wait your time with the manifold unless you plan on replacing your down pipe. But since gm doesn't make one wouldn't be interested anyway.
Your stock manifold flow 425 CFM. Your stock dp flows 370 CFM. The GMPP flows 350-375 CFM. Your manifold is the best part of your whole system right now.
Serisously save your money.

The Gmpp manifold flows 455 Cfm. But the stock dp still flow less then both so it will still be the bottle neck.
