Question Gmpp exhaust downpipe question

I have both gmpp exhaust and exhaust manifold, since the downpipe is still stock i was wanting to possibly get it removed and replaced with a custom bent pipe. So my qustion is would this be a good idea? I know the more expensive exhausts borla, corsa, vibrant.... dont have a buldge in their downpipes. but Will it harm anything, not having some of the back pressure from the precat, or cat, not sure which is in the downpipe stock people tell me one thing and i hear somethin else. also is their anything special ill have to do to remount the o2 sensor to avoid throwin a cell? so if anyone has done this or knows what the effects will be help would be appreciated.

well if you just put a pipe your gonna throw a cel, and you will lose low end torque. And i think you will hurt the scavenging affect of your exhaust........
