GMPP Exhaust Installed
GMPP Exhaust Installed
So i went to my dealership to get my exhaust ordered yesterday and i ordered the Sport GMPP Catback. I got a call this morning saying that it was already here. I took an early lunch and installed that bad boy. The install took me about 30mins tops and wow i love that sound. It sounds a whole lot better in person than in those clips posted on the site. If your considering which exhaust to go with i would highly reccomend this one. If anyone has any questions about this exhaust or the install i will gladly answer any questiions about it.
Well i havent seen any difference in gas mileage yet cause i've been hauling ass everywhere.lol! So i guess when i get the new exhaust feeling out of my system i'll have a better reply to that.
2. All hangers are there
3. No welding
4. Just need to cut stock pipe to remove.
5. Could probably do it with jackstands but sure would be nice to use a lift.
6. Practically idiot proof.
That is all.
im looking for a real low toned exhaust like a humm..nice and deap no rasp..would you say this exhaust fits that or is there better ones for that sound...its just so hard to tell from exhaust clips online
Everything that you need is in the kit. The only tools you need are a hacksaw to cut off the muffler, a torque wrench, a 15mm socket. The install is really basic if i could do this one bymyself anyone else can. I didnt have to use any stands because i had one of the techs here at the shop help me hold onto it. I ordered my kit from my local dealership and it took only a day to get it. I'll try to post up some clips and the kit uses some of the old rubbers to hold the hangers into place. From what i can tell the tone is just right. My friend has a magnaflow exhaust and its super low. This ones sound is maybe half of the magnaflow.
Heres a video clip of my sons Cobalt with GMPP exhaust on it. Pardon the shifting, but hes not used to such a sloppy pos shifter the Cobalt has. It has gotten a little deeper sound to it after about 1500 miles but not much.

go to www.crateenginedepot.com. Mine was $450 shipped with the tip.
With my employee price that i got for the exhaust total came out to about 407.00 after taxes. Then i just used one of the techs bays during his lunch hour and he helped me install it for free. I love working for a dealership!
Its alright bro we all have to start somewhere. This is my first car with forced induction so i'm learning still to. Overall after cruising around lastnight i've noticed that the tone is kind of low but not to where the entire car vibrates while crusing. Some of the SRT-4 guys i know really liked the way it sounded.
