gmpp isntallation prices
hey for all those who got custom exhaust installs i got my gmpp sport today i am want to know how much you guys got charge for the installation and i dont want to know about luckie ppl that got a free installation!
I got charged 40 for the install at my chevy dealer. Keep in mind I work there! I dont think they should charge you for more than a half hour. With a lift and tools I could do it in 20 min.
install it yourself. just jack the car up and all you need is tools in your garage noting hard at all. it would take 20-30 minutes of your time. save the money you'd pay someone to do it when you could do it yourself.
well this is it i went to a place by my House muffler for less....
60 buck later and 20 minute later is was a done deal...... other estimates
Chevy dealer $225 what a joke Lou bachrout chevrovlet....
a polish mechanic $75
muffler shop a $80
meinke mufflers $90
another 3 shops with a little bit more than $100 dollars

Hey Joe What Up! Aah Kind Of Loud I Thought It Was Going To Be Just A Little Louder Than Stock Is Definitely A Aftermarket Sound Even When Is A Gm Part.... Is Must Be True The Borla Rumor...
this is one of the easiest things to install performance mod wise in my opinion just block the front tires jack up the back of your car and unbolt the old exhaust at the downpipe, then after you do this youll find that its one piece and you cannot get the old exhaust out. you can either at this point just cut the old exhaust in half at the bending point with a sawzaw (what i did) or you can unbolt the rear suspenshion and take the stocker out that way the new exhaust youll put in is a 2 piece so you wont need to have the suspenshion dropped to put it on i did this alone with no help took me about 45 mins not hard at all save your money easy install
EDIT: sorry didnt read down far enough to see it was already installed just trying to help...

It is a Borla system, just with GM logos on it. The corvette exhausts are usually made by Corsa for GM, so they have GMPP logos but are identical to the Corsa systems. New truck cat-backs are the same deal, Corsa parts with GM stickers. I think the new Corvette systems have gone to Borla though, but I'm not positive, haven't checked any of that stuff in a while.
