That is some odd news to see. Thanks for the heads up though. Now the question is, would this setup work out well: TOG Header (3"), XTC Downpipe w/ high flow cat (2.5" or 3"?), GMPP Catback (2.25").

it depends on who you ask, what size is better.

personally i will not go over a 2.5" unless i go turbo/twincharged. 2.5" flows plenty good enough for the size engine we have. but i would recommend to do a cat delete, because that will help out alot.

So header at 3" to downpipe w/ cat (must for emissions here in NJ) at 2.5" to catback at 2.25". But there won't be any problems with the continual decrease in size then?

depends on who you ask lol... since flowbenches are so expensive, all of us just make guesstimates of what works and what doesn't. right now i have a tog into a catless dp and full 2.5" into a flowmaster (with a broken baffle) and it works fine for me. when the cat was removed, my butt dyno felt a huge difference.

LOL...sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure I won't have problems with it. Sounds like everything should work out fine. I want to go catless, but I don't know, my brother did it with one of his cars and he got a lot of crap for it. I have time to think about though. I'm gonna be ordering the TOG header from ZZP too, how do you like yours?

I'm curious as to why the Magnaflow cat-back system has been discontinued as well. I was planning on ordering that one.

Chances are it's because they are experiencing rust and discoloration issues even with "stainless steel"
I don't know if it's everyone but a couple of members here have had that issue.

After some research I'm assuming because the Magnaflow cat-back system is composed of 400-Series stainless steel. The lower the "series" number means better corrosion resistance. Hence the GMPP and others use 300-Series steel.

It seems clear to me that the Magnaflow would be the better choice, all opinions and suggestions will greatly be appreciated.
none of the above. just my 2 cents though. I think thermal R&D is making or has made an exhaust for you guys though a little ore pricy its well worth the added cost it sounds a hell of alot better the the GMPP exhaust or the magnaflow. oh did i mention its stainless. i got mine for my redline for 641.00
