I'm not sure that's what anyone would want. what he means is he want's the most efficient boost up top for maximum hp both low and high.

Haha it's all good. Some guys have had to shave and some guys havent. The best way is just to get the pulley and size it up. I'm going to have to on mine so thats my long weekend project haha.

I had to shave my m62 snout for a 2.7. I just recently went through the same dilema with a 2.6" pulley, just not with the m62

I ran 2.6 and 2.5 on my m62 for a couple of years with no problems except, I went through 3 blowers. Not sure if they went because of over spinning or because I was spraying meth through it, or maybe a combination of both. But each blower would last about 30,000 miles. So u decide if it's worth it, to me I didn't mind buying blowers every 30,000 miles because I loved the low end torque. I got a tvs now on a 2.7 but I feel that the low end torque on the m62 was better

Do you have to run a tensioner for a 2.6? I'd imagine you would get belt slip with just a stage2 belt. Also can anyone post pictures of their shaved snouts?

Then you need a new tune.

Red - 2.7" M62
Blue/Green - 2.9" TVS

I just finally installed my 2.6" last Friday and I love it! Wow it pulls way harder. But I also had full exhaust and a CAI that I put on and wasn't tuned for yet. I bought an oversized tensioner from ZZP but it fits like crap. It hits the tensioner itself it's so big. So I tried it with the stocker and no slip. 19 psi

You have to grind the oversize tensioner pulley to fit but if it's not slipping then don't worry. I ran a 2.6 with no other mods than 60's for over a year no problem.

Really? No slip? I get slip sometimes with my 2.8. Granted when its humid out, but still.

Yeah, ZZP shows a quick 7-picture .gif file for that.

Is that the ZZP tool? Also, did you run an adj tensioner or oversized or none at all?

Really?? On their website it says down to a 2.7 pulley... I currently run the modular setup on a 2.8 tho. If thats true, that would be awesome.

Ya I was really surprised it doesn't slip. But from what I read it seemed to be a 50/50 chance of it slipping. You slip with a 2.8"? That doesn't seem right, even with humidity.

for each pulley size u go down how much more cfm are u pushing into the motor and is there a way to roughly determine how much that will effect the afr?
