Nope. I got an oversized tensioner from ZZP just to be safe but it fits like crap and needs modifying to work so I decided to try it with just the GMS2 belt and no slip.

That's a good question. I don't see why not because they give you the option of a shorter belt or the tensioner. Only way is to try it out.

That's the point. Bigger tensioner or shorter belt. No need for both from my experience. And good luck trying both lol. It's hard enough getting a stage 2 belt on the stage 2 pulley

yeah its a bitch with the tensioner to but they are both options in the stage 2 kit and that only comes with a 2.8 and we are talkin a 2.6 so i didnt know if the even smaller pulley would matter

You only need one or the other all the way down to a 2.6. It's been debated on needing both options for a 2.5, some have needed it but 98% wouldn't.

Yeah, I was wondering about that same Question....Cause I'm goin from a 2.99 down to a 2.7 and I thought that maybe the Stage 2 Belt that I have on my car Now would slip from the sizing difference.

I ran a 2.7 on my car at one time with the GMS2 belt, and I had zero slip. It will be fine.

2.6 if you have a good tune. I had 4 pistons cracked due to an inferior tune with a 2.6

Oh Snap!

I have been running a 2.6" since before I made this thread.

So at least 16 months. I ran it during the winter too. I do not beat on my car but I have a heavy foot. Its all in the setup/tune.
