Is This A Good Buy?
Would you say that the JBL Wild motor be a good buy? I'm currently deployed and my motor blew up right before I left. After looking at all the prices off all the parts I would need for a 600WHP car it would be around 10,000.00 plus turbo parts. Here is a link to see what is all included with the motor. I would rather build it myself but since i'm not home to do so I was thinkin it might be easier just to buy the motor. I'm just wanting to put this out to see what everyone else thinks...Thanks

buy the parts and build it yourself. And if you can't build it yourself...bring it to someone that can. It'll be cheaper
I would never go through JBP again....for anything

Disclaimer: JBP supplies you with a core that has been thoroughly inspected for defects. We expect a core with "reasonable wear" and without damaged internal components, (connecting rods, pistons, cylinder walls and/or crankshaft). If a damaged block is received, additional charges will be applied to bring the block up to JBP specifications.
So what do you mean by "blew up"?

well the number 4 cylinder piston ring broke and scratched the sleeve and then it grinded down the side of the piston. I talked to the guy today and told him what was wrong with the motor and he said it was ok. Also he said that if i didn't send the core back i would just have to eat the 400.00 core. Hell shipping cost that much. I can just part the motor out for that price. I also talked to him about the motor and he said that it comes with the stage 1 head and if i wanted to go with the stage 3 head it's another 1700.00 which brings the total to 10,300.00 with shipping and the core. I showed my friend who was going to build my motor while i was gone the site and he said it seemed like a good buy. He said i would spend more then that with all the machine work and parts. hell just to name a few parts and prices....Pistons 779.99, valves 399,99, valve springs and retainers 749.99, crank 3,400, sleeves 800.00 hell that alone is 6,129.97 and that doesn't include shipping nore cams, rods, nore any of the port and pollish jobs or the other 800.00 tool that you have to buy to put the sleeves in
