good inexpensive muffler

good day, I was wondering if anyone can show me a good inexpensive muffler for my cobalt ss s/c, I have a magnaflow from mandrelbendsystems.com but the muffler is loud and raspy, it's nothing but rice, all I want to do is replace the muffler, but I don't know anything about mufflers and do not want to end up buying another raspy loud and annoying muffler, does anyone have any suggestions?

is this a good one?

dynomax... i went from magnaflow to dynomax.. quiets it down and gets rid of alot of the rasp... if you dont have a resonator, you may want to think about getting that too

super turbo is the submodel you would want

dynomax super turbo is definitely the crowd favorite, and not just among cobalts.

X2 on the resonator. And you can always look at any muffler with silencer.

This... http://www.jegs.com/i/Patriot-Exhaus...oductId=897835

It can be found for about $13 shipped on Pertronix's website...

I have the mandrelexhaustsystems.com 3" catback with 18" resonator and magnaflow muffler, and it was nothing but rasp and rice until I threw that puppy in... Now it's nothing but blower whine, just a little louder than stock, and all the 3" exhaust power goodness! Best $13 I ever spent...

flowmaster actually recommends this one for us.... i got teh super 44 series and it is loud on cold starts and when you get on it i like it but it does draw attention at times..... ive had it for 2 almost 3 months now and its gotten alot deeper some rasp but hey its the highest flowing they make.

I would get a super turbo, but they don't have the 2.5" with center inlet/center outlet.

I have the Mandrel Exhaust System, with no cat, 18" resonator and a dynomax ultrafow round (similar to the magnaflow increased airflow). It's super loud. I just bought a decibel meter app for my iphone, so I'll measure it and let you guys know.

I haven't had a chance to mess with it really. I need to have an exhaust shop try to adjust it, but it's hard to find a place that will look at it without a catalytic converter :/

The car does haul ass though, it's running really well

Well at least she is running good

I'll have some new clips of my exhaust up today. Check out my Corsa thread later this afternoon.
