got tuned friday!
How long have you been running that setup? How are you monitoring your Afr? thats lean and that jump at 64-6500 is even worse . Time for a tune

Unfortunately I've been the unlucky pioneer for too much on this car and ran out of money! That's why I'm letting everyone else do the crazy engine mods first!
But, hell when I give advice people don't listen until it's broken! Then I become useful! Oh well.
Btw, check out his pics on the redline forum. Thats how a champ pops an engine.
Wow, multi quote doesn't work in this thread, wtf?
That usually is how it is on this forum.... offer of advice in which only a few actually listen too.
Oh, well I have the selct few I actually listen too, everyone else I shrug off like a 17 year old prom date after you boned her in the backseat of your car!

Witt I saw Dan's pic earlier today on the RL forums. That really sucks, but I hope he does decide to rebuild it better. I really feel bad for him. :no homo:
I didn't put a hole in the block, but I did destroy the cylinder wall completely on my Integra, blew a piston on my 02 Z24 supercharged, and managed to have something let loose in the top end on my first engine in the Cobalt destroying it. Plus, I've destroyed 2 tranny's in the cobalt on top of that. I'm pretty well versed in breaking ****!
M-Dub that's some funny **** there bro.

Edubs, damn you and those cams and what not! I'm jealous and want some top end parts as well. Actually I sort of lost track as to what your running? What is your setup again?

I put down 244 on Matt's Mustang dyno in 80% humidity and low 80* weather with the stock catback, an exhaust leak in the header from the SS shrinking and it was after about 5 hours and 15 pulls on the dyno. My exhaust is all patched up and 3" all the way back, so I'm hoping to get back there while the weather is nice and cold to re-tune it and shoot for better numbers. I'm gunnin' for 260, maybe a bit higher if I'm lucky, but it's unlikely. Matt's dyno tends to be about 12% lower than most dynojets, so that would put me just over 290. I'll prob need Meth to hit 300...
Then again, Matt tends to tune on the safe side as well. My AFR on that pull was a solid 11.4 while in PE. I'm sure if we went crazy w/ the timing and leaned it out a bit, we could hit 300 for ***** and giggles on the 2.79. But I like my car running, so we'll prob just stay safe.

People didn't like my twinscrew numbers on the Mustang dyno I go to either. I've read on average they are about 13.5% lower. The one I go to is confirmed to be pretty low by Mustang Dyno themselves. I laid down 238whp and 230wtrq with my 2.6" pulley fully tuned without meth, so I knwo my dyno is low rating. I laid down 272whp on the Mustang dyno and adding the 13.5% puts me at 306whp to the wheels on a Dynojet. Not too shabby considering the issues I had with an unfinished tune, and not spraying the methanol yet! But hey, what the hell do I know.
They're actually not bad cams. They definately don't give the power that the HKS grinds will, but overall, they make great power under the curve compared to similar modded cobalts on Matt's dyno. When I finally get back and get new numbers, I'll see if I can get my dyno chart and another 2.8" pullied car's dyno chart to compare from Matt.
I'm sure when all is said and done, you'll be pushin' well into the 320's w/ Meth. I believed your numbers from day one!
