got tuned friday!
They're actually not bad cams. They definately don't give the power that the HKS grinds will, but overall, they make great power under the curve compared to similar modded cobalts on Matt's dyno. When I finally get back and get new numbers, I'll see if I can get my dyno chart and another 2.8" pullied car's dyno chart to compare from Matt.
I'm sure when all is said and done, you'll be pushin' well into the 320's w/ Meth. I believed your numbers from day one!

Nice, I can't wait to see what differences are. I might try a head porting with the supertech springs, balance shafts, and 272 HKS grind cams when I return from the desert, but I have some house projects to do first when I get back. Please keep me posted on the results as I have a sparked interest in cams right now.
Especially considering that I plan to dyno when it's in the 40's w/ low humidity. It's not an unbelievable goal, just a tall order, for me at least. The TriFlow cams don't really seem to add tons of peak hp, just a good amount under the curve...
WE TOOOK THIS SUMBICH OVER!
I want to hit 270s and I'll be good with that. And I'm sure with Area's help along with changing a thing or 2 it'll happen.
And I not only see Area hitting 300whp he will DESTROY 300 whp!

let me guess, with the cams you saw more boost huh.....
god the tri-flows are horrid.
sorry to tell you all this so bluntly.
not knockin you, just that cam
Actually, on the 2.79", I see about 16.5psi of boost when the temperature is normal (i.e. - 40-80*F). Most people on the 2.79" see 17.5psi, so I'd say I lost a pound, which is what I wanted...
the theory behind the "tri-flow" is nice indeed but there are massive reports of people getting the tri-flows in GB's and such, then the idiots rant and rave about gaining boost or at least staying vary close to pre-cam....
that tells me one thing, totally useless cam.
agreed?....yup.....ok.
hehehehhe. now you see why i didn't order those

anyways. im a hero? um, thanks? send wimmenz

im not sure about destroying 300. im just aiming to get close without over spinning the blower like i am now by 667rpms
{did the math, i was bored}

our boost gauge isnt reliable for ****, check it with HPT against a vary similar car or your car pre-cams i think you'll be surprised.
