haha, no need to rush reverse. Make sure the car is completly stopped and the clutch is all the way in.

You should be in gear before you start rolling.

Try putting it into 1st and 2nd before putting it into Reverse, i used to get some horrible grind while putting it into reverse, and if i put it into 1st and 2nd beforehand, i dont get it it.
i think it aligns something, but... i haven't had a problem since, and now its just a habit.

it's common. Mine likes to do that alot when I am in a parking lot or something. If you dont come to a complete stop and have the clutch in for a few seconds, it will grind making you look like a n00b who cant drive stick.

The reverse synchro is the same as the 2nd gear or some **** like that. If you're still in warranty, it's covered, just take it into a dealership. :thumbsup

i actually had the same problem, i brought it to the dealership, they insisted it was the clutch so i got a new one out of it, but reverse is not a synchronized gear like 1-5, so you have to put into 1st or any other gear before going into reverse, it is possible to put it straight into reverse but nudge it into there slowly, it wont ruin anything, alot of standard gm vehicles have that problem

It is the same ratio as 2nd gear. no synchros. I dont know of many car s that have a synchro'd reverse.

I had the same problem with my car. Took it to the dealer and a couple of the parts they needed were discontinued so they ended up putting in a whole new tranny.

if you go to second gear then into revers it syncs the reverse cluster so it will go into reverse easier
