pulley question

hey guys, im just wondering if it would be safe to run a 2.6 pulley from zzp and 60# injectors with meth and a proper tune. also how much hp do you think i would have on these mods: 2.6 pulley 60# injectors, vibrant header/dp,injen cai, meth, step 2 colder plugs, retune?

It should be safe since you'll be running meth, but your going to grind down the snout of the blower to get that pulley to fit. You don't have a H/E yet? and hp wise maybe 5 more than a 2.7? all depends how aggressive the tune is.

i dont believe that meth would be enough cooling for a 2.6. most people running 2.6's have like aftermarket h/e dual pass opt b and meth

well deff an extra h/e and prolly more, 2.6 is alot of heat

I believe you can run zzp's 2.6 on the stock snout. And yes with a proper tune you will be ok, as long as you don't beat on the car all the time

You will generate more heat with a 2.6. Make sure you go with a dual pass endplate & a larger heat exchanger. There are other guys here who are running this setup, hopefully they'll chime in for you.

you will feel more of a difference going from 2.9 to 2.7 then stock pulley down to 2.9. Also a 2.6 will generate alot of heat, as said a larger intercooler, meth, and dual pass is a must if you do a 2.6. A 2.6 will be just out of the blowers efficiency ranger tho. id stick 2.7

Colby, go with the 2.7" pulley and meth, as well as an extra H/E. You will be more than happy with that set up. The tune is easy. I was running that setup before and beating 2.6" pulley cars easily. The extra heat from the 2.6 is not worth it IMO.

your car hates you. I'm betting your iat2 is over 150 after a w0t pull.

For a 2.6, you need a ginormous front mount h/e and water/meth spraying about a 5 to 7 gph nozzle. Even then you are still going to be on the warm end of things...

efficiency > m62.

NO. The ZZP 2.6 does NOT need ground on the snout to fit. I have one. Have never had grinding issues. They even say this on the site

My car has had a 2.6 for years. Even ran the TVS for a few months. No meth. No dual pass. only a Garret H/E inline with the stock one. I STILL pulled more power than most do with cooling mods on the stock tvs 80mm pulley.

Maybe my car is a freak. But my 2.6 does not over heat. Of course, I run distilled water, not dexcool in the h/e. Larger coolant reservoir for the intercooler helps too.

With the mod list you have, and a real tune, you will be fine with a 2.6. I LOVE my trq curve.
