MOST turbo cars go with a 3" to allow the turbo to breath a little better. i assume this would also apply to a 350+whp turbo cobalt. (back pressure is the enemy of any turbo build)

it is general forum concensus that a 2.5" exhaust is acceptable for the stock s/c.(even with smaller pullies)

Well I can atest to 3" is overkill for SC modded car with 2.6 pulley and 60# injectors. 2.5 is great. I went 3" for the 350+ HP build. but thought I would go LNF. now that I have not got rid of my SS/SC yet and this build is becoming real I may keep it or get another LSJ equipped with G85 package. then keep at least the catback. thanks. I always heard and felt this way but it is nice to get confirmation from the creator of this kit.
IMO, LSJ turbo>LNF. dont sell your car for the new SS. your higher compression combined with a turbo will be pretty potent. Plus, from what i've heard, the LNF cars are a tuning nightmare.

LOL I know who you are. I was talking and replying to bill and you jumped in LOL. and lower compression with turbo = better for High boost but 9:1 wont be bad. as far as LNF vs LSJ yeah you could be right. But what I want is approx. 350HP. the power band of the LNF is a turn on for me. so much torque and at 2G's. but there is a GMS kit that will boost power to 290HP and 310tq. I am not sure how I will go. LNF would be easier and actually I should have a car with full warranty due to how much time I have on my hands which is not much. we all have different motivators to making decisions in life. I dont have the luxury to time to tinker with my car. I have a family and I am commited to them above just a car. that is why I would consider a kit or just a new car. but I am watching a local turbo his SS. if he has great success then I just might pay him to do my car. He would love it I know. we'll see which way I go. I like having a new car though..... LOL thanks for the advice but I know alot of what you said already.

from what i remember bill said the super 20g setup produces boost low in the rpm band and is similar to the feel of an s/c'd car, yet gives you more of the "seat of the pants" feeling that impresses the ladies
i think the hahn kit will make you happy. have fun.

Well just a little update for you guys. The car went back to Bill Hahn today so he can finish his work on the fuel system and then over the weekend me and a buddy will be going up there to put in the neutral balance shafts. Then it will be dyno time and video time for everyone waiting!

But it IS supercharged...turbosupercharged.
Actually, that's the technically correct adjective! It means supercharged via an exhaust-driven turbine. Of course, 'super' means more than normal, and 'charge' represents the airflow into the engine. So, yes, it's still a supercharger!
Over the years, the term morphed into 'turbocharger'.
That's today's nearly useless triva fact, folks. On to the BOOSTING!
We expect to have some initial results next week.
I thank you. Joe thanks you. Now let's make some SICK POWA!

Twincharging in the Cobalt using the stock blower is very inefficient and not a good way to make power. A properly size turbo or supercharger upgrade are way better options.
