Well as many of you know I have had my car at Hahn Racecraft helping with their prototype stages of the Turbo LSJ conversion they are going to release. Anyway, My LSJ motor is a full built motor.

To start the bottom end has : Stock Crank, Neutral Balance Shafts, JBP Cross Beam Rods, Custom 8:1 compression pistons, Wrist Pins, and rings. The block was also drilled for 1/2" Headstuds instead of my 1/4" studs.

The top of the engine is a JBP Stage 2+1 Race Ported Head. It has JBP Stage 2 cams in it also and is ceramic coated to reduce heat. It is able to rev to 8500 rpms SAFELY!

Ok anyway, to the fun stuff. At first Bill Hahn and me were in the works of a turbo kit using the Super 20G as the turbo for the kit. Well after some research and the craving for more power we decided to use a Garrett GT35R turbo. It took awhile but I know that Bill is one for perfection and I knew this would be worth the wait! We took out the intake manifold and had Hahn Racecrafts Street Race Intake Manifold put on as well as his "Portfueler". Thats just the basics but I think everyone wants to see the pictures already so I know when Bill find this thread he will comment about everything I missed!

ENJOY!!!

ok so i noticed your running the map and scip sensors both on the intake manifold, how did that affect tuning, because this is a major point of contention for me.

These were pics that I could take asap. I wanted to give everyone on the forum something to look at! As you can see its still not 100% complete yet! I should be driving it hopefully Fri or Monday at the latest, so look for some more pics then and yes she will be all clean and sparkling!

Traction will be an issue... But Im going to run drag radials daily driven and do slicks for the track.

I will let Bill answer that ? when he gets on here. As far as the motor build... Over 10k + the turbo kit.

On my car we expect to hit well over 400WHP on pump gas because of my really low compression (8:1). We expect to hit over 500 on high octane and more boost.

That FMIC is more than I need. Its big and not to mention 5" thick... I bet that Intercooler could handle up to 800whp!

We are not 100% firm that this will be the final sensor config yet. We'll know more as we put the car through its paces.

This version of the turbosystem with the GT35R turbocharger will not be inexpensive, but we are also developing a less radical system with a Super 20G turbo. The S20G setup is aimed at stock or modified engines, and will be capable of up to 475 HP, whereas this GT35R is capable of 600HP.

Both systems will use the StreetRace Sheetmetal Intake seen here to completely replace the supercharger/intake/intercooler assembly.

Once we've got both systems complete, we'll be able to determine pricing.

If you are referring to the intercooler as available seperately, yes...we plan to offer the intercooler seperately, as well as the intake manifold. We'll also do a Tuner version of the turbosystem in both GT35R and S20G formats which will not include any engine mangement solution. These Tuner versions will be for those who wish to supply their own tuning options.

The Tuner GT35R and S20G turbosystems will also fit 2.2 and 2.4 Cobalt/G5, but in a 'user completion' format that will be for the more advanced enthusiast or shop. Of course, we will continue to offer our already-available GT2860R systems for 2.2 and 2.4, targeted at those desiring a complete, bolt-on solution with engine mangement included.

We'll know soon...the engine is yet to be fired. I anticipate in the neighborhood of 14 in hg.

Thanks! And that's 2.5" piping from the turbo to the intercooler, with 3" piping from the intercooler to the throttle body. This turbosystem is intended to be a heavy breather!
