Hand brake got loose

I was going through a drive-through and pulled up my hand-brake. I thought I broke something cus it was very light and loose. I could pull it all the way up with little effort. Before, it was tight. Has anyone had the same experience? Did I brake anything?

Thanks~

Hmm I have never had this trouble in any of my vehicles. The only thing I can think of is maybe a cable snapped and the ebrake just isn't holding any more.

If you park up a hill and you use the ebrake does it work still?

the light and brake still work. I just need to pull it all the way up. It is actually easier to use now.

same thing just happened to me the other day but then somehow tightened up again...it never really was stiff and the e-brake always sucked lol...but whatever, it still holds somewhat okay. i wouldn't worry too much about it unless it stopped workin completely or barely even at all

It works, so I'm not even gona look at it. My car is out of warranty, so unless it is completely off, I'm not lookin into it.
