Heat Exchanger

Ok, i'm ready to order a H/E but im not too sure which one!!!
1. E-bay and follow Cbonar install
2. OTT preformance

I think the E-bay one is bigger and I know that it is cheaper, but is it really better? Which one will I benifit most from???

smaller cx racing h/e off of ebay and then 10 bucks at home depot on heater hose and clamps and your good to go... as far as benefit goes even the smaller h/e is overkill... you will see nice temp drops with it

Actually it can. To big and you will have a reduction in flow that is gunna hurt you. I suggest to everyone that they remove there stock HE if installing an aftermarket one because of this reason.

If this is the "small" cx heat exchanger.. then how much larger or more efficient or in general whats the difference between it and the stock unit?

X2...I did the stock heat exchanger delete install. But fast98...you say remove the stock h/e but yet you sell the kit with brackets for install...

i could understand if it was an air to air but not coolant it would just mean more room and time to cool it down, and more coolant in the system doesnt hurt... unless the stock pump cant keep the pressure up when its too big...

it honestly isnt "small"... mine held more coolant than the entire stock system. i kept my stock h/e and i cant get my iat2's to break 120 even after a third gear pull
