I think you can use it inline no problem. That will also increase the volume of water that you have in the system which will help with heatsoaking...

I have mine mounted inline. If you have the C/A brackets, you just drill 2 3/8" holes in the bumper and install the brackets, done up there. Remove the hose going from the I/C pump to the bottom of the stock H/E, and plug one of the hoses from the new H/E onto the two places you just opened up. Re-fill with coolant, and let it bleed out the air for the next few days, and you're done. Really simple, one of the easiest mods I've ever done and it looks great. Just make sure that you put something in the bumper where you drill, at least some primer or something, so it doesn't rust.

Because I do all the work myself and I like to help people? I don't know really. I just try to make life easier on everybody. I ask for help when I need it, and I like to help where I can.

k, question to anyone that knows: on the CA heat exchanger the "in" side is the top part; correct? Or is that the "out". Which is it...is the bottom line the in or out? Tell me if the image below is correct or backwards......?

Honestly, I dont think it matters. The fluid is going to run through twice either way. It will either start on the top and end on the bottom or vise versa...

Johnboy; so this is an acceptable way to do it(?):

That's the right configuration.

As far as the in/out on the top or bottom of the CA H/E, it doesn't make a difference. I did mine in on the top, but it is the same thing either way.

Very nice. I don't really like the writing on the H/E's that i've seen, but it still looks good.

I made it...printed a picture of an SS emblem off the web, cut the SS out of the paper, and then used a glue stick on the back of the paper (no residue) to make sure the thin piece of paper would stay in place and not lift up when painting (to prevent over spray) and masked off the rest...........I love how it came out....I was weary, bc I was like, watch me spend $300 on this heat exchanger and fk* it up when I paint the stencil but it came out great........
