I installed the zzp stage 3 heat exchager yesterday and everything went smoothly but when I checked today I found that one of the hoses I installed is bent in two places. It doesn't seem to be too bad but if the hose was pinched off what would happen? Just a little paranoid I guess.

 

you would probably have noticed your IATs and coolant temp skyrocketing, no?

My temps are low so I dont think that it is pinched. I moved the hoses around to loosen them up anyway.
I am running a 2.8 with the GM stage 2 tune until I get the zzp tune so I can install 60 lb injectors.
IAT2's only went as high as 135 at wot so im not too concerned

Im putting on the 60lb injectors tomorrow with the zzp tune. running the 2.8 on the stage 2 tune will be fine until then

 

Put a 90 degree fitting in there, Bent hoses slow down the coolant flow.

 

as long as you're doing it soon, and you don't do any wide open throttle runs ....

Do you really have to even ask ?? Look it up, and find out why it's not smart (at all) to run a 2.8 on a GM Stage Tune. I'm not being an ass, I'm just so sick of seeing people on here doing stupid things to their cars. Get all the proper supporting mods on a car before you start trying to pulley down.

 

Well if it hurts my car any I guess my dealership will be buying me a new motor. Bc they sold my car to me like that. I know u need a cooling mod to run a 2.8 anyways. Which I now have. But u never had any major problems besides power being robbed bc of the heat. My 3 dynos r truely a fail lol...u act like it's the end of the world, but it's not.

Well, your dyno numbers show that the 2.8 is hurting you running it on a GM tune. A properly tuned 2.8 car, running the proper supporting mods usually puts down 255+whp and 235+wtq. Your low torque shows that the GM Stage Kit is more than likely pulling timing. Prob. due to the fact you had no cooling mods, and your IPW/IDC's are off the charts. Hey, it's your car, if you think running the 2.8 is ok on a unmodified GM Stage Tune, more power to you .... but you will see better numbers, and your car will run better with the right tune/injectors.
