Help with different types of heat exchanger!
Help with different types of heat exchanger!
im looking to get a h/e pretty soon and whats one that everyone seems to love? and also what is the main difference with the s1 s2 and s3 from zzp? and do you need a specific amount of mods or power to have an s3 or something. please help!!
More cooling the better, putting a HE on a stock car wouldn't hurt it at all. Stage 3 is lighter and more efficient than the other stages along with holding more fluid. If your not on a budget OTTP Griffin HE is supposed to the the shiz.

so the zzp s3 is the best one under the griffin? and i only have a catless dp and CAI on now but i will have headers, new muffler and maybe some small stuff for the engine so would it matter what size stage i get or can i just go get the s3 and throw it on?
Our stage 1 unit uses the same style core as their stage 3, just our stage 1 is slightly bigger and alot cheaper. Everyone seems to like our unit so I would ask around about our gen 4 heat exchanger
ok sweet and im going with the s3. its only 200 somethin bucks and its worth it. if its close to the griffin id rather save myself 300 bucks. and yes joel im going to pulley everything once all my cooling mods are put in.
i personally have the ZZP S3 heat exchanger, thats my olny cooling mod on my 2.8
i can make a couple runs and immediately touch the SC and not burn my hand. i plan on getting option B in good time though.
and no offense to OTTP or anything, but shipping will be faster with ZZP.

Also we have both heat exchangers in stock and they will ship the same day if you order by noon.
on a side note i did by my stage 2 kit from OTTP
if the zzp s3 cools around the same as the griffin with only a ten degree difference its gonna be worth saving the 300 dollars and then just throw the dual pass in and all. thanks for the help tho guys!!!
the zzp does not cool the same as the griffen
and 10 degrees is the difference between losing several degrees of timing, timing is worth 1-3hp per degree
but if you dont want to pay then your not going to have as much fun playing
