I called them and asked them if they had any sleeves for a 2.0 cobalt ss, and he said no just for the 2.2!!! I even asked him if there was any way that i can make the 2.2 fit and was told no. I will call them again tomorrow or tuesday and ask again.

MID series?

I'm a bit new, but is the water jacket surrounding the sleeves open? If so, has anyone developed a block guard yet?

MID? i dunno about the water jacket....I know it's not pretty when a ring breaks and messes up your piston and sleeve

They make them for the ecotec. All the block are going to be the same! I just had my block done 3 weeks ago.

They start at 86mm and go up to 90mm bore.

I go mine on ebay from titanmotorsports for 624 shipped!

sleeperbalt, you have the hahn kit correct?
did you just get the 2.2 sleeves, and they work in your block, what is your LSJ bored and stroked too?

you do have an LSJ right?

I'm interested what setup you used too. Possibly a 2.4L crank with a shorter custom rod/piston setup?

my 2.0 is in the machine shop as we speak for this work. they are the same bore i dont see any reason why they would be different. my machinist didnt say anything about them not working. he has done both mine and my buddies work in the past. my buddies 2.2 is already done. looks amazing.

just buy the ones they claim are only for the 2.2. Its the exact same bore in the same block design, so its a direct fit regardless of what they believe

bore is the same, yes. stroke is not the same. if you do get the l61 replacement sleeves they will need to be machined down. which i would just resurface the whole deck.

also. i'm not sure if the o.d. of the sleeve is different. i don't believe it is but it will be another thing for you to look in to

I have been working with Darton for the past few months with sleeves for my motor. I have to send them a junk block so they can make sure the casting works without any issues before they will do the sleeves on my good block. Yes that 2-3 months is correct because that is the time table they gave me to be done with testing and producing these sleeves. Only prob is... No money for me to spend with Darton...

I was under the impression that the crank was all that changed the stroke in these cars.

that is correct but its the clearance between the crank and the bottom of the sleeves that MAY be the problem. i guess the only way to know is for someone who has already had em done to come forward or wait for my work to be finised.

Sleeves should fit, as posted above, modification may be needed (slightly) If you have a machine shop put them in, it will be NO problem for them to make them work.

BTW we carry them at www.TurboTechRacing.com
