Help with IDC's w/pics
Help with IDC's w/pics
Ok I went ahead and took pics of the tech 2 could someone tell me if this is good or bad that has experience in this, sorry for fuzzy pics shitty camera, im running 2.9 stage 2 running at 6k rpms

so what this shows is if you want to ruin your injectors faster put a 2.9 in???i know that 99 is not all the injector has to offer but i've heard you only want to be using about 80 percent of your injector
the first pic is showing boost duty cycle, wich is the solonoid for the bypass valve. it is not the same as injector duty cycle. furthermore, those pics look like you snapped them at idle, giving no insite to anything.
So when i got my IDC and AFR readings from a tech2 what was it showing me? I'm not being a smart ass at all, i'm just wondering why the tech2 has those 2 values availiable and gives readings. The AFR actually read out alot like most stage dyno runs . In the pic's above he's not on the right category , but their is a Injector duty cycle value that has a read out .
they were taken at 6000 rpms I wasnt driving the car it was parked at 6k. ok so i keep reading everyones pulse with of like 18ms why is that showing 1.65? Can someone elaborate on what im seeing?
Thanks
Thanks
when you're parked you don't need much fuel to get the car to rev to 6k rpm so the injector pulse with would be a lot less. You need a log of real time driving to get a good idea of injector pulse width and IDC's, or you need to go on a dyno.

I found it's very easy with an interceptor gauge.
You set it to show rpms and injector pulse width and then set it to record. I went wide open in 2nd gear until 7000 rpm, parked, wrote down the numbers, and did it again and again.
Then go home and convert your pulse width for each rpm that you want to know about to IDC.
