Help! Rattling Noise!

I have a rattling noise coming from my engine by either the timing belt or supercharger serpentine belt. Its loudest at 2krpm. Anyone else with similar noise?

Its not bad man, according to all ppl that have had the problem. The coupler just loosens up as the holes stretch up and create the rattle sound... I told the same thing to 07metallicSC
I have a kit in my closet in case I get the problem lol

I just watched a few vids on "bad cobalt supercharger couplers" and they dont sound anything like the noise im hearing. The coupler vids sound more like clanking not a bunch of bearings rolling.

I would take it to GM if u have ur own coupler kit.... I got quoted 100 dollars if I took my coupler n oil but mine ended up being a bad downpipe which created the same sound

well the only reason i even mentioned it was because 07metallicSC explained his noise as... it sounds like there are marbles bouncing around in the SC... and to me the video sounds like marbles clanking around haha. i hope its the coupler, for OP's sake. they're only like 40$ arent they?

edit: not even 40$. just checked. they're 15$ for oem, and 30$ for zzp's "green" coupler. so ya. again i hope thats the OP's problem. nice and cheap

I was just about to cancel my warranty tomorrow too. I might hold onto it for a bit longer.

ehhhh.... when the tensioner goes bad its more of a ticking. the noise in the video sounds much more... odd i guess u could say. im putting money on the coupler.

The downpipes i BELIEVE are a recall. The stock cat goes bad. i think.

my opinion.. i dont think its related to exhaust, and i definitely think its the same issue 07metallicSC had. so watever he did to fix it, i would follow. and i would definitely talk to him as i said. Not saying im right but thats my opinion.

I WISH SOME OTHER PEOPLE ON THIS SITE WOULD JUMP IN HERE TO HELP THE OP. ha idk wat happened to this site. i havent been on in like 5 months and now its like, dead

AND BTW. if u wanna take it to the dealer then go for it dude. they probably have a close to 100$ diagnostics fee just to check the car out. and watever they find they'll try to sell u on getting it done there. but they'll tell u there expert opinion on what they think it is. so always a good choice if u have the 100 or so dollars

I just wish i knew what the person did to it before me. I know he didnt go stage 2 or anything but he put an Injen intake in. Ive read some horror stories about warranties going bad here and it makes me concerned that if I have an aftermarket CAI that it would void the warranty which is complete BS if you ask me.

I guess paying $100 to find the problem is better than started to buy parts and guessing what it might be. I just dont know enough about my car yet to say for sure what it is.
