and trust me... i know alot of techs that are like that. i guess my brother taught me well because ive been complimented on it many times. im very organized with my tools and work area, and i make SURE that i dont get the car im working on all dirty and i clean off any oil or lubricant or watever it may be even tho its in a spot u wont even see and i try to do things the correct way. the sad thing is. the worst tech i had ever seen as far as being neat and respecting other peoples cars was the head tech at toyota. he took sooo many short cuts it wasnt even funny.

WOW! ha were thread jacking bad here. OP im looking forward to hearing what ur issue endd up being man
I like to see organized ppl cuz it bothers me seeing a mess, and my mechanic knows what he is doing.. just that he takes shortcuts toocuz he doesn't charge by the hours.... When he installed the trans mounts I maded him torque them properly, and he looked annoyed but f it we are some good thread jackers haha

Update!:

Finally got my lazy ass to bring my car in to the shop. The "ball bearing noise" happened to be a broken bolt in my timing chain housing. Apparently since this bolt was broken my timing chain was loose and rattling because it was not fully secured. Luckily I held onto my warranty and only had to pay a $200 deductible rather than the full $1000. I also had my Emergency Brake fixed, one of the cables had popped out which made my brake very undependable.

Did they fix it? Or did they just pop the cable back in?

I had that happen to me once, and the cable popping out, was because one of the parking brakes was not fully releaseing. I had to replace my right rear caliper.

My technician said he just popped the cable back into place, didnt replace anything.

My Ebrake is 100x stiffer now as well
