Help With Supercharger Info
Ok so I recently did some research and found out that the mp90 supercharger is the best supercharger for its price (My opinion due to is high PSI and lower ATI compared to the m62). But I have some questions that I couldn't find on any forms on here or the other Cobalt website. Ok well my first question is I have heard them called mp90 and m90 is there any difference, does the "P" mean its ported or am I just a dumb@$$, and they are exactly the same. Second question is I believe that it is not a simple swap so is there are forms that I haven't found that have instructions on how to install them. And my last question is where the hell do you buy them from I don't like to buy things off ebay (NOBODY SHOULD EVER BUY ANYTHING "NEW" OFF EBAY USED IS "OK") but I didn't find any on there either, I have also looked on craigslist and haven't found any in a 300 miles radius.
What car is this for, I'll assume the Cobalt SS/SC?
The M90 is sold by ZZPerformance but if it's for the SS/SC cobalt it's not worth it just run a smaller pulley on the M62 or upgrade to the TVS.

M90 is an Eaton blower, found on such cars as (supercharged) 3.8liter Buicks and Pontiacs, Thunderbird Super Coupes, and a host of others.
MP90 is strictly an aftermarket blower from Magnuson
neither is a direct bolt on, they will require someone to fabricate adapter / installation parts

Save your money and purchase a TVS 1320
It is a direct bolt on and makes more power.
The MP90 is a aftermarket option from Magnuson.
It requires adapters to bolt on, which unless the blower is purchased cheap. It's not worth while having the aluminum machined to bolt it onto our manifold.

Exactly get a TVS and be happy, it's a direct bolt on, only clearance issue is the MAP sensor but a couple extra minutes don't hurt, and as someone stated you can make more power with it.
But I have heard that the MP90 is really close to the TVS and I also saw on a form that he made his whole MP90 kit for $700. I just can't afford the TVS and I would like to try something that little people have done. Only problem is there is literally none for sale and I actually don't know how much they cost. Or know how to install them.
You won't find it and make the adapters for 700 or less. It's going to cost you considerably more
Yea you're right I finally found one on ebay but it was for $1,700 dollars that is $1,000 over want I would to pay for it. The main reason I wanted to go with the MP90 is because of the low prices people were getting them for, but since I can't get a good deal on one I guess ima save up and buy a used TVS but thanks for the input I really do appreciate it.
