Help with Tranny Mounts

Hey guys - just got my TTR Tranny mounts, and am having problems, if someone could help me real quick it would be appreciated!

So I got out the stock front mount, put in the new bushing, and then the little metal cylinder that is supposed to go inside the bushing. line it up to bolt it all back in, when I realize that the large bolt that goes through the bushing and the cylinder, is slightly (like threads-only) too wide! I thought maybe that it was perhaps made slightly off, so grabbed my other box (I got 2, one for front and one for rear,) and it is the same way! What gives? Am I totally retarded, or is the mount slightly off? Or is the bolt slightly off maybe? WTF help me someone who knows! lol

No, I even tried force-starting the bolt through with the wrench. No good.

That is weird cause i bought my tranny mounts through them and mine fit like a champ so what i understand is that the bolt will not go through the metal thing in the center can you show some pics it could help a little

No camera at the moment but yes you are exactly correct; the metal cylinder that the bolt goes through, is slightly too narrow.

What year is your cobalt and did you already put the rest of the bolts in edit ok i see its a 2006 sorry but you sure you got the ss/sc tranny bushing and not the sedan or coupe 2.2l or 2.4l bushings cause they may be smaller

06 - I tried that first, then took the whole thing out and just compared the bolt with the cylinder, and it is for sure too small. I think I may have gotten the wrong part or something. Strange though, that the bushing is a good fit.

I think that the auto tranny bushings are the same size and every thing the center middle piece may be different you have your receipt check it and see what it says

Dont see why not cause when i put mine in there was like very very little room for the bolt to go through

Did you have to press the new bushing in?
