Help! Vibrant Header Install

I just recieved my vibrant header and removed the stock one. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to get the vibrant header to fit on the studs. The EGR valve that feeds into the first port of the header contacts a water pipe feeding into the heater core when your trying to install it an cannot be moved or gotten around. i'm wondering if there's anyone who has installed the vibrant's header and can tell me how to get around this obstacle. Do i need to remove the studs? Water pipe?

I'm unsure what your talking about, but when I did my Hahn header, I just had my buddy slide it up from the bottom and I angled it up form the top - slid right in.

The vibrant header is slightly different from the ones ya'll installed though, his is 4-2-1 not the usual 4-1, which is why he is having some issues. It may be a bit difficult if not on a lift, not sure how to help ya though, sorry man.

OK i just had the the header put on my car at Vibrant last night becuase they are tweeking it for fit issues. The EGR on the 2.0 SC on the stock header actually doesn't go anywhere. You can see on the gasket for the stock manifold the EGR hole in the head actually just goes into no where. The stock manifold actually blocks the EGR port.

They cut the EGR Tube on the header right off and blocked the hole. I think they had to take a bit off the flange on one side too. It's tight right up by the head.

The header sounds awesome and it makes good power. I love it and i still have a stock cat-back on the car. Well worth the investment.

i agreee with ^^^, to the best of my knowledge the EGR line is just there, but isn't actually active... should be able to remove it/cut it off to get it out of the way... to double check, follow the line and see where it goes...

They TIG welded a plug over it, but for future production they likely will be getting rid of the EGR tube completely. They only put it there becuase the factory manifold apears to have an EGR passage but it's likely because its the same manifold on the 2.4ECO or the 2.2 or something.

If you want to wait you can likely exchange it for the next gen header....but if you are in a hurry get a shop with a TIG to weld it shut.
