ok so ive noticed that all the cat-back systems all consist of 2˝ pipe but on my 05 SS/SC the piping i think is 3 inch whats the deal with that? would it be better to get a highflow cat, resonator, and muffler or down size the exhaust and buy a catback?

 

I think piping is 2.25 on the ss/sc not 3

 

The SS/SC exhaust is 2.5" from manifold to 3/4 of the way back when it merges to 2.25" rear section.

 

2 1/2, then from the cat 2.25 i belive, if im wrong please correct me.

 

the tip is whats 3"

 

oh well that makes alot more sence now i was always wonderin why they were downsizing but now i know im just a dummy
