hesitation problem

Well I don't really know if its my plugs beacuse they were cahnged with autolites and gapped at .40 about 6k ago. Well when I stomp my car around 3-4rpm its like it hesitates and jumps for a second then takes off. I am running 42lbs...with a 2.9. I have a CAI And a 1 3/4 header 3"dp. Its just not real smooth the first 1-2 seconds at WOT. Any thoughts?

Try to regap the plugs down to .35 and see if that helps and clean the throttle body

Well I cleaned the throttle body but it seems to happen in more 2nd gear than 3rd.

Mine does the same thing. Never thought much about it till now. I also have my plugs gaped at .040. Does it in second or third, I say that cause I again never payed much attention to it once I noticed the hesitation I try to stay at or above 3k when starting to get on it. I too cleaned the TB and MAF last weekend.

I had the same problem. A dealership did a fuel injector cleaning and cleaned out the intake before and after the TB (There was a yellow/orange coloured oil sitting in the elbow part of the intake. I also read a thread here about cleaning out the TB completely. It runs much better since the dealer returned the car. Stronger and the idle and hesitation seemed to have dissapeared.

It very well could be a fuel injector problem, a maf issue, throttle body issue, etc. I recommend cleaning those parts out the best you can, and if you can, clean your injectors. I agree with markus that if you did the above, or had a dealership do the above the car would be good to go. Also another thing to look at is the fuel filter. Make sure if you have over 30k miles on your car that you have changed the fuel filter. A clogged fuel filter can delay throttle response because it takes longer for the fuel to move through the line.
