I doubt 2 psi extra will generate enough heat to be concerned especially if stock or even gm stage2 since the tune is designed to run rich anyway. Adding an exhaust after that should even it out a little bit but a custom tune should be considered if your running smaller than a 2.8 one would think since that would put you near 20 psi no?

How rich it is and how hot the compressed air is don't really have much to do with each other.

It's richness is dealing with the combustion cycle, the hotness of the compressed air is dealing with the temperature in the combustion chamber.
