The Highest Redline?
Usually, you want to stay at about 4000 to 4500 feet per minute on your piston speed (4500 and up for good forged pistons). So if you know the stroke of the motor you can calculate piston speed, and go from there...

The 300+hp build shows a dyno of 7850rpms (this is what I am aiming for) I have also seen a dyno showing 8300rpm's (i am not positive but I think it was for the Cobalt they used on the Bonnyville Flats) so as long as your willing to pay to upgrade we have a ways to go yet.

you can safely run 14,000 rpm..... you just have to have the money to invest in the proper equipment... but remember higher rpms aren't always better
im not sure about 14,000. We have a 2 litre 4 cylender, F1 cars have like 2.5 litre V-10's! so the pistons and stuff are like as thick as your thumb, so its alot less mass moving with each piston.
you dont wanna rev high anyways....lose of a lot of power when u start reving high...honda's rev high=no torque...yea you get top end but you still make less and less power....stick to 7k max id say even 6500 what the car was designed for unless you start changing out heads...then 7 but no more

that's exactly what i said.. with enough money almost anything can be done
I talked to a mechanic at the dealership today and he talked to Engles, I think it was. They helped with the design I guess. The weakest point is the valve springs. The mechanic I spoke with already installed better ones on his SS S/C. I think his are good to 8,000 rpm.
