if you shifted as u bounced the limiter it could have busted a synchro

You don't usually hit the limiter while shifting. I missed third and reved to 7800 rpm and didn't hit the limiter.

WOW 7800 rpm's isnt that alittle to extreme for our valvetrain? Well I guess I just answered my own question if your's reved that high lol, im sure it cant be good for long periods of time.

Ok I did be an ******* and i bounced the limiter for a good 3 seconds. Which leads to my problem....ocassionally the car will have to do a massive slam start and then kick over and be fine. Also sometimes i start it in Neutral and the car will not go into any gear which will have to turned off and then bang started as stated above. WTF is my problem?? Also I had my stage 2 for 3 days...........night time bounce the rev limiter..........morning start car wont go into gear.

If its a syncro how hard is that to be fixed or replaced?

that's awesome lol

if the engine is under a load running up those higher rpm's aren't as bad... bouncing it off the redline under no load for 3 seconds on the other hand......

i don't think i would've done that...our cars are decently fast, you could've just chased the guys down and beat their ass... and if you don't think you would've won... you shouldn't have chased them down

not that hard..... u hit the limiter so obveously your at extremly high rpms... and u usually hit the limiter right before u shift if u hit it so ur shifting into the next gear at a very high rpm thus killing your synchro lol

Kind of like powershifting without taking your foot off the gas? Sometimes when im really not paying attention ill hit the limiter and then shift.

What happened to my car when i got my 2.8 is that i bounced off the rev limiter a few times and broke the springs on the clutch plate and it wouldnt stay in gear nor would it go into gear. Could be your clutch plate.

yeah im just going to buy another clutch and a findaza plate instead of the whole flywheel. It will be better than resurfacing it. NOW, what clutch should i get now that im upgrading to the stage 3?

dude just do what i told you in the PM when you messaged me yesterday! take it to the dealer and tell them to look at it but tell them you do not authorize them to do anything that will cost you $$$ or could potentially cost you $$$ to put it back together if the determine it to be abuse or a clutch failure. instead of sitting here whining about it take it to the dealer and get it over with.
