How does our intercooler work.....
So I know we have "intercoolers", but a friend of mine keeps questioning how exactly it can work. Does it run coolant through our chargers through some channels inside of it or what?? I understand how a turbo intercooler works but I cant understand what exactly ours do. Can someone help me......

Our intercooler is a water - air setup. It is located under the supercharger and is basically a part of the intake manifold. The air comes out of the blower and goes down through the intercooler and back up into the intake manifold. The intercooler is cooled by coolant being pumped from the heat exchanger that is located between your radiator and your AC condensor.
Look at this pic, This is a tear down of the engine, the intercooler is that part right under the blower. The air goes down to the bottom and goes back up in behind the intercooler to the manifold.

I think the best possible mod would be to move the heat exhanger to the front of the rad instead of behind. By doing that your going to allow more airflow through it, therefore making the coolant cooler.
This has been talked about before but I don't know if anyone has attempted it.
