So, ive been looking at this board for a while now, and this is my first post, so bear with me.

From all the searching i have done, ive gathered that recaros are pretty much MIA on newer 07's thats all cool but i would still like to have the LSD
My real question is, how do i go about getting the G85 package? i was dinking around on the chevy site , building a cobalt and i saw no option for G85, recaros, or an LSD...

Im pretty sure any dealer i go to wont know jack...soo...

You may have to grab a used 05 or 06 with the G85

05's = no such thing as recaro package, its only 06's and like a few 07's

 

That was only in Canada for some stupid reason, the states had G85 in 05

 

so wait 05 had no g85 package?
no recaros? then shouldnt that help the 06 resale value and also make it a one off kind of car for those of us with it?

 

as far as i know the 07's have lsd with recaros, i have a dealership in my area that has the g85 package on a brand new 07 black cobalt. also if you want to order one it takes 8-12 weeks if they cant find one already made. they did tell me tho that they may discontinue it all together tho cause theres not enough demand for them.. they said that its not something noticable to the average person that doesnt know too much about the car, they actually said i was the only person that had asked them about it.

 

I thought that the LSD was still available as an option, but the recaros were cut off in Sept for the 2007 models?
Which sucks, because I really wanted those seats...

Thats just what I heard. I guess its possible that theres no LSD at all anymore, which would be the suck.

 

mine is an 07, comes in a week, has lsd.. asked for it

If you look in the website thier should be an option called performance package.
That is G85.

 

'07's CAN have LSD, but not the Recaro's. There was some paperwork or something that came down and the Recaro's are no longer available. US cars in '05 and '06 and some '07's had the G85 w/ Recaro's. Canada only had 06's and some 07's.

 

My ss s/c is 2007 and it has the performance package...

 

ONLY IN CANADA did 05s NOT have the LSD option. In the US they DID have the G85 option. (My cousin has one of the 05s with G85)

 

Got my black 07 SS/SC in Thursday. The recaro seats was the only reason why I didn't order the G85 package. I didn't like the way the recaro looked. I ordered mine on Sept 4th and received it on Oct 5th.

 

i you have your dealer build the car on the computer you can add the LSD on there, the G85 is there but i dont think you can add it. but the LSD is like $700 extra. i did this last week.
