how to install wideband?

Not exactly sure where I should be posting this, but....

I just bought an AEM UEGO wideband for my car but I have one question about installing it. Where did you bring the wire from the o2 sensor into the cockpit? I don't want to rip apart the entire interior just to find somewhere to bring up the wire if someone else can help me out with this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

i ran my shift light through the boot behind the brake pedal, it has other wires going through it, i just poked through with a coat hanger. it was easy.

The O2 sensor for the WB should be in front of the cat IIRC.

Best bet is to bring it up into the engine bay and through the firewall, otherwise your drilling a hole somewhere.

Zip tie the wire somewhere where it won't get burned from the exhaust. Then run the wire through the firewall and into the car via the hole behind the brake pedal as already stated.

finally got it wired up....

i put the wideband o2 sensor where the rear o2 sensor was and zip tied the old o2 sensor to the frame pretty securely. ran the wire up through the engine bay (away from the exhaust) and through the firewall. grounded to the chassis and ran the 12v to the sunroof fuse. i feel much better now. i was apparently running in the 10's at wot!!

How much slack did you have left from the AEM harness? I had to cut my harness off the car I traded in... you think 6ft of wire is enough to route to the pillar?

i had plenty of slack left over. it depends on where you want the gauge installed. 6ft might be cutting it a little close, but you could always extend the wires.

probably will throw an emissions code. you can always get the bung drilled into your exhaust to keep both o2 sensors in.
