how to lower compression ratio?

hey well i am planing on running high boost and i heard that if I lower the compression ratio that i can run higher boost. so what parts would i have to buy to lower the compression ratio? thank you.

Pistons, with a "dish" top, and a thicker head gasket.

Lol Shab.

Dished replacement pistons, thicker head gasket or even higher overlap cams (not very desirable for a turbo though) will all do the trick.

If you get better cooling then you dont need to lower your compression ratio.
Higher compression ratio = more heat generated = more likely to cause detonation
Lower chance of detonation with cooling or increasing octane.
Probably the easiest thing to do would be to add meth injection

Depending on just how high you are wanting to go with the boost, you may want to get lower compression pistons such as the "dish" pistons that have been mentioned. You can also get better flowing heads and exhaust. This will actually help to decrease heat as well as allowing you to push more air into the combustion chamber. This will actually decrease the amount of pressure you see while still flowing the same amount of air. It is also a good idea to make sure that the air is being cooled as efficiently as possible.

If your running really high boost shouldn't you know how to lower CR?
