Same **** Happened to me I bought 5 Quarts of Royal Purple figured it would be sufficient. I was wrong It took 6 Quarts. I had to drive my car with five quarts of oil in it to friggin Autozone 5 miles away to get another quart. I had no other way of getting their.
I was nervous as ****.

Don't worry, you're not going to do any damage driving a quart low.

u have the dealer change ur oil. Do it urself and save atleast $20. GM gave me a free oil change so I brought it to the dealer and it cost them $70. I would have rather GM gave me the money and changed it myself.

The LSJ takes 6 quarts of oil. On dipsticks that say MIN and MAX the oil should be right in the middle when full. Also the reason the LSJ takes so much oil is that it has an oil cooler.

I did my oil change a couple weeks ago and put 6.75q and is fine. Also, in the book it said the intercooler system takes 2 quarts? What fluid does it take? Sorry if its been asked before.

Correct, long as your oil pickup is submerged your fine.

And don't use that mobile 1 5000 crap, that's abotu as good a quakerstate oil back in the late 90s. Helped a guy overhaul his 460 in HS and from mile 1 that thing had QS in it. It had about a half quart of sludge in the oilpan, and a good ammount of it in the heads. And he changed it every 3500 miles at the most.
