How much power gain from Injen CAI ?

Hi, I'm about to install the injen intake for my cobalt & was just wondering if anyone has a specific dyno of how much power gain the intake puts out and at what rpms?

pretty sure it depends on your other mods.... if your heavily modified id say around 10-15HP and if thats all you have around 5-10.....

sounds like pretty good gains compared to other numbers ive seen from adding a cold air.... ive been wondering why on injen or aems websites do they not have listings on cold airs for 2006 or 2007 cobalt ss/sc? im assuming its the same as 05?

Most see 11hp gain and mine never gave me a cel.
Just make sure you wipe the excess oil off the filter before
you install it and also grab a terry towel and fish it through
the tube to clean out the crap thats inside just to be safe.

Has anyone actually ever dynoed with more than 7 or 8whp from an intake on these cars? Although its a great supporting mod, I don't think it gives the 5-10 or 10-15hp that many people say. While yes it may be rated by the manufacturer like that, factory ratings are often inaccurate. If anyone can show me a dyno graph of before and after on any intake install that gives more than 8whp I will agree that i am wrong.

I have an AEM, and the dyno from AEM showed a 8-9whp gain on a stock SS/SC.

I would have to say abouth 5hp as well, maybe a few more on a modded Cobalt, but nothing too significant.

Given that you have supporting mods, I am more apt to believe your claim than others, but I'd like to ask, on what kind of dyno and do you have a dyno graph. I feel that the average whp gain is about 3-6whp from stock to intake on these cars. While, some may respond better to mods than others, I think 8 is a very high gain.

Not completely doubting it, I put an AEM on mine last week and I love the sound, and it seems like I get better throttle response, but I'd like to see before and after dyno graphs proving claims. 10whp is fairly noticeable, and from what I noticed, it didn't seem that significant.

236whp with I/E/GM S2:

If stage 2 gives 40whp or 35whp, say even 30whp, then intake still isnt living up to these claims because that would leave 6whp for both intake and exhaust assuming that his car dynoed 200whp stock (Low for stock).

As mentioned before, graphs with proof of the 8+whp gains and I will agree.

EDIT: I am also referring to SAE Corrected horsepower at the wheels.

Just some more results as evidence of what Im saying.
