how often should trans fluid be changed?
just did this on mine. as usual, the car isn't really designed for ease of maintenance.
I used the gm fluid - i would be shocked if the 75 w 90 was the same weight - the stock stuff was much thinner than i expected. you may need to cut down a 8 mm allen wrench as well, not a lot of room to play.
as far as fill quantity, expect to use damn near the full 2 qts. official capacity is listed as 1.9 qts, and thats just about when it started to dribble out of the upper fill hole. (filling to this point is the recommended procedure)
on a side note, the service manual also recommends using a sealant on the drain plugs - didn't notice that part until i had mine refilled.

OEM , i did mine cause i wanted to be safe . I used 2 quarts of the saturn oil and had just a little left over . It's hard to get all the old oil out . My tranny was noisy since new , and changing the oil quieted it down a bit .
oem...they wouldnt put the stuff in the car for no reason. i will always use oem oil, fluids. Most of the other crap is seriously just bait to make u wanna pay more for the same qualty.by miss leading titles of improved hp and fuel economy
