How to rebuild an m62 supercharger?
Ok well im about to sc the 2.2 and i was rebuilding my supercharger at work. I took the rotors out + snout off. Then i pressed off the pulley and opened the snout. Now i have 2 questions, Do the 2 gears for the rotors just press off, if not how do i get them out?
Next, i want to replace the needle bearings. First i tryed packing them with grease and i use the layth to machine a input shaft form a tranny to fit in the bearing perfect, then i packed it with grease and smashed it in there with a hammer. But all the grease just shot out through the rollers. Then i made me a long slide hammer with a bearing puller (it has 2 teeth that hook the bearing and you use the hammer slide to wack it out) and i smashed on it till i broke the rollers out, but the bearing didnt budge. How do you get these out? They arnt capped in the back so i cant drill it and use pressure to push them out...
If i have to, i guess i can take it to my other employers shop and cut it out with a cnc mill... But that will take forever and ill have to buy high dollar long cutting bits.
