Hp add from intake

Ive read some people say the injen intake makes a HUGE difference, and ive also read that some people dont even notice the hp/tor gains.

Just wanted to see what people who had this intake, or an intake at all, thought.

Noticeable, but the primary appeal from an intake on our cars is the louder whine.

If you're in the market for an intake and have about $200, this is where you need to be:

the car is louder, so most people think it feels faster. You have to have a pretty damn good butt dyno to feel the difference between 219 and 222 whp. In other words, feeling a difference is in people's heads. Though they'll swear it's not.

That being said, an intake is still worth it especially if you have or are planning on doing other mods as well.

I figured it would be something like that.

They get you when they say "add's up to 15hp."

Some may at 15hp to the crank, not the wheels though, at least not on a cobalt.

That stinks.

But I'll be happy as long as I get a good whine.

I cant hear my supercharger at ALL.

I agree. RAW intake is nice. My injen got holes in it. I have been using thiers since and with the larger TB it is a huge difference in driving.

She shouldn't be able to if you can drive.

I'm assuming its an auto..

Auto + heavy fwd car = not so much

A good driver can go 13s in a GMS2 car, I think C&D tested the Eclipse GT at something like a 14.6. A driver in a stock SC should take one.

I couldn't find anything solid either, but average drivetrain loss for FWD is roughly 10--15%. Thats anywhere between 223whp and 236whp.

I've beaten one in my stage 2 ss s/c so that seems about right.
