another thing. to hook the wideband into hp tuners. I think that requires sometype of hardware? I know I could prbably find that on hp tuners forums but your help is appreciated. If it does require hardware. how much or could you explain the general process to make the wideband work with hp tuners?

ambient temps do not come into play for tuning on these cars. it's all IAT2's. MAF's calculate the mass of air flowing across it to determine how air is coming into the engine and then obviously using certain tables determining how much fuel to put in. By calculating mass it doesn't care what barometric pressure is.

If you don't want to bite the bullet on the pro, you can always hook up with James on here. Your only about a 7.5 hour drive down. My cobalt is my daily as well and I am enjoying the 42-44 mpg on the highway. As the price of gas is going up, it is worth it.

UMMMMMM. Totally not true bro.. Without ambient temps we wouldnt know what the at1 would be, without the iat1 we wouldnt know what to compare to with iat2s. Without ambient we wouldnt know what * of coolness or hottness to tune for, less timing or more, for conservativness. SOOOO AMBIENT IS USED WITH ME LMAO!!!!!!
