Hydro locking rings

So in my rounds with tech support for my nitrous kit i came across a few things i need verified. First off the tech was saying that anything below 10/1 afr is really bad. (my car widebanded with lm1 is hitting these numbers at wot. Second he said that the rings could hydro lock At this afr. (below 10/1). I questioned him on this and he said that fuel can get between the rings and the force it applies to the ringland is above the design limits. This area of the ringland was not designed to carry that kind of downward pressure. All the pressure is supposed to be on the top of the piston not the side.
What are your thoughts on these two issues?

Tech support was from zex nitrous

fuel will wash away the oil barrier on the cylinder walls. bad things happen when you do this.

to hydrolock a motor takes a lot more than 10.1 afr. will it hurt the engine? in due time yes.
