I want to twin charge!

Is there anywhere I can still find a twincharge kit used or new?

If not, what would I need to make a custom one?

So far I have a TVS. 80# injectors. Dual bypass with heat exchanger. Lightweight flywheel and stage 3 clutch. Rotated tranny mounts. Stage 2 axles. K&N intake.

I spent so much on this TVS I don't want to just switch to turbo.

I would just stick with that TVS if i was you. Plenty of power can be made there.

To many headaches with tuning a twincharge setup hence why its not being sold anymore.
Much easier to make power with a turbo setup.

By all means i am not saying scrap the idea. Go with whatever makes you happy. Just letting you know what most will tell you on this subject.

Yea I've read that in almost every thread on the subject.

To be honest I really want to go with it because I've never messed with a twin charge setup and I'm very curious to see how it all works together, and it would be a good learning experience.

Plus I wouldn't be the one tuning it lol.

Also if you waste your money twin charging sell the TVS and bolt on the M62 to help fund it. You won't see any gains running a TVS since the charger is just meant to spool it quicker. But the way turbo's are these days, they spool so fast and that's why no one twin charges anymore.

I watched a cobalt running an s366 putting down 879hp on YouTube. Which is way more than I'm looking to go. Plus I don't want to spend a fortune upgrading my internals. This is a daily driver for me.

I'm with you-- I love the idea of the twincharge. Power from bottom to top, no lag, blah blah, but, as much as I hate to admit it.....for a daily; pick a power level that's realistic for dependability and longevity, reasonable mileage, and then pick a power adder and stick with it.

if it were a toy, hell, do whatever twists your nipples. set a ridiculous power goal, use the blower to eliminate ALL lag, and then let the turbo take you all the way to nirvana

hard to tune doesn't mean impossible to tune, it just means time, effort, and money

It is a daily driver yes, but it's also my Honda civic destroyer device. I can't stand it when they pull up next to me and rev their engines showing off their ricey exhausts. Jesus get a resonator buddy. Yea I know my car is yellow and has a giant wing on the back and attracts all sorts weirdos and cops.

well, you don't need twincharge for that! just take the TVS off and get one of those electric fan "supercharger" things and a bunch of stickers and you'll have enough to annihilate Civics

seems if you're really serious about it, you better start saving money, researching, and brushing up on your fab skills,

I think you're on your own for makin' the dream come true!

POST PICTURES AND PROGRESS!

The only thing I don't really get is what kind of valve is used to cut out the supercharger at a certain psi and how the air from the turbo is bypassed through the supercharger. Does it require a custom manifold? If not how can the air possibly get through the screws in a positive displacement supercharger when it's has cut out and isn't spinning anymore?

Yeah Bluelightning is right you def dont want a TVS and a Turbo on it a complete waste. The M62 is what you would want with that setup.

Also Zrated on the TVS is pretty much a 11 second car. Not many turbo guys are even getting to that point.

Build the TVS or something to its potential people have made 350 i believe on just the TVS and you will be extremely happy with that setup.

basikly u have a noose line from the turbo hooked to the bottom of the bypass actuator with a regulator inline set to open the bye pass at lets say 15psi...
its easy to setup and easy to mess up..
but i would plan on a built engine.
