IAT sensor problems, need help
IAT sensor problems, need help
Hey guys,
So last week we had a little bit of a thaw here in ontario and as usual my car started acting up because the combination of my aem intake and the moist weather don't get along and as the MAF gets wet. So over the weekend I took the intake out, and cleaned and tried the MAF and put the stock airbox back in for the rest of the weekend, only problem is now I am throwing P0113 which is an IAT sensor code, and when I read the IAT1 with my interceptor it reads that intake air temperature is 654956 degrees F. Being that I currently reside in Canada not on the surface of the sun I am pretty sure this is incorrect. IAT2 still reads normal. The reading for IAT1 is always 654956 so I am thinking that I disconnected or damaged the IAT I just have no idea where it is. Google search hasn't really produced anything except some guy that seems to feel that the MAF and IAT are the same thing, however crate engine depot has seperate parts for the MAF and IAT so I am pretty sure this isn't the case. I guess after this wordy explanation all I'm really after where is the IAT1 sensor?
Thanks,

The guy on google is correct. the MAF/AIT1 sensor are the same unit, just as the MAP/IAT2 sensor are also the same unit. You mightve fucked the IAT1 part of the sensor when u were cleaning it. Good luck
crap that is not what I was hoping to hear I guess I'll take everything apart again just to make sure that I didn't bend a pin on the connector or something failing that I guess I'm ordering a new sensor. Poop.
