Ideler Pulley
The pulley itself, very simple. It uses a torx bit, think 45 or so. Watch your knuckles though...if it slips off, your knuckles are toast.
Using the idler pulley bolt is actually another way to relieve tension on the belt. I've had to use it on more than one install.

here....if you want a 76mm idler pulley, don't go to one of the various forum vendors....they are charging way too much.
The maker is Gates Corporation and the part number is 38009. Just search pulley 38009 on google and you'll see it cost $12 from rockauto.com

No modification needed, well..a smaller belt (stage 2 belt #12597993).
You can get it from a GM dealer...give me a few days and I can get a part number. Or you can go and request the part number yourself.

alright thanks a lot. I was just thinking that with the stage 2 belt and the bigger idler pulley that it would be too tight. I will go to the dealership tomorrow and see if they can get me a part number.
Whats the size of the stock one? Does anybody know? I need to order one of these as soon as possible.
bump somone must know this. I dont want to pay 400 bucks for the whole setup.
