Identifying LSD

I am aware the G85 cars have LSD but is there any other way to identify a car with LSD that is doesn't have the G85 package? I have been looking for an 05 to 07 but can't find any with the G85. The Recaros aren't a big deal but LSD is a must. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure if the car doesn't have the G85 option it doesn't have LSD. I don't think LSD was an option by it's self. It's either G85 with LSD or nothing. Don't quote me on that though.

to get the lsd you had to have the g85 option. g85 included the lsd and recarro seats. the sure way to know is to look at the rpo tag and look for g85.

Sad day. I was hoping there was another code that included LSD. Oh well. None of the LSJ's for sale around me have G85..

A cobalt ss can have lsd and no recarro seats, if its an 07 and g85 it will not have recarro seats, and they are plenty of people on here that have replaced there non lsd transmission with the lsd tranny.

The codes go in alphabetical order.

Yeah I have thought about just replacing the trans but I'm looking at about 2 grand for a rebuilt with LSD from ZZP and
that's if I put it in myself and don't replace the clutch or anything else while I'm in there which in sure I would want to do.

Do the seats in the 07s look any different from the regular SS leathers?

I haven't drove an SS with LSD but I'm assuming it makes a big difference, right?

Big difference? not really, its a nice thing to have but its not gonna be shaving seconds off ya times and most people do roll races anyways, u dont need to get ya tranny rebuilt for 2 grand to get it, just find a crashed car with the g85 package and get the tranny from it swap them then sell ur other tranny to recover some of the cost.
